Coach Liz's Backround
I attended McKinney high school and started all four years on Varsity under Coach Alex Panterotto. I was named District MVP as a junior and helped the Lionettes to 4 consecutive playoff showings including the regional quarterfinals. I played club soccer for coach Mario Guzman at TFC from 2006-2013 in the Lake Highlands Classic League, developed and progressed from division III to I. I also played for Tyler Powell, current athletic director at Sting Soccer Club, on the American Eagles in the Women's Premier Soccer League in 2011.
After graduating high school, I received a full athletic scholarship to play NCAA Division II at Midwestern State University. I started all 4 years as a center midfielder, captained my Junior and Senior year, and led the Mustangs to the school’s 5th tournament win and subsequently a spot in the NCAA tournament; played every minute of the series, everywhere from right back to center mid to forward and received All-Tournament Most Valuable Player. I graduated with a Bachelor’s in Business and minor in Kinesiology in 2016 , before moving back to Texas to get a Master’s in Real Estate Financing in 2020.

Growing up playing soccer was an amazing opportunity; I think getting involved at the next level in any sport helps you learn discipline and hard work, understand success and failure but most of all, have fun experiences!! I am excited to continue my involvement with the sport as a coach and hope to help my players develop their skills and confidence, learn teamwork and love the game. My goal will be to get everyone excited about playing a really creative, fast-paced, possession-oriented style where the whole team gets plenty of touches on the ball. Understanding each players’ individual goals for playing soccer will be important as well to ensure we are working together to meet their expectations and maximize the opportunity they are seeking!
