Founder and Head Coach Tony Ramos
Overview
Owner and coach Tony Ramos worked for a middle-market accounting firm for 6 years; however, his passion has always been soccer. His dream is to create a youth club that is not only affordable but also successful in developing players to achieve their dream. Whether that be lettering on their varsity high school team, signing to play soccer for their favorite college, or even becoming confident individuals on and off the field. Coach Tony uses his passion, energy, and experience to elevate any athlete's game by providing skills and tools to find the winning solution!
Coach Tony's Background
I grew up in McKinney, Texas, and started playing soccer as an 8-year-old in the McKinney Soccer Association. At age 15, I started playing club for FC Dallas 94B, achieving a number 7 NTX ranking, coached by Chris Che. In high school, I was a 2-year starter and team captain on varsity at McKinney High School under Alan Pocock. After graduating high school, I played DIII collegiate soccer at the University of the Ozarks under Coaches John Cossaboon and Matt Torok, where I started 37 games, played in 65, won rookie of the year, and was a team captain my Senior year. I graduated with a Bachelor’s in Accounting in 2016 from U of O, before moving back to Texas to get a Master’s in Accounting in 2018. I have been helping Chris Che at FC Dallas, assisting with his teams from age groups U14-U19.
Why StrikerZ DFW?
Coach Tony Ramos started a StrikerZ DFW competitive men’s team in January 2020. They play in several leagues in North Texas and have amassed a record of 73-29-12, competing, and winning against some of the top amateur and semi-professional teams in the area. Out of the 32 teams StrikerZ DFW have faced, only 5 teams have a series win advantage, only a further 3 have a tie record, with StrikerZ DFW having a winning record against the remaining 24 teams. After many years of success, Coach Tony Ramos realized he had a unique opportunity to share his love for the game with the Youth in the DFW and continue to build on the Brand that has already been develop.
